The USSA CLUB INSURANCE PROGRAM was designed to offer competitive premiums and coverage to its member clubs and in addition extend to the club’s individual members liability coverage for their “personal” hunting and fishing activities.

OutdoorsInsurance.Com is a specialty agency insuring Rod & Gun (Sportsman/Conservation/Archery) Clubs, Hunting Clubs, and Guides and Outfitters through an admitted A+ rated insurer. We have been in existence since 1992 but operated until November 2002 as Outdoor Underwriters, Inc. We also insure short term special events such as fund raising shoots, youth hunts, fishing tournaments as well as other hunting and fishing type events.

I have been in the insurance business as an agent and agency owner for 38 years and have combined my vocation and avocation the last 15 years as a result of being an avid sportsman plus a continued involvement in many organizations. I am a life member of my local club the Ohio County Wildlife League, charter and life member of the West Virginia Bowhunters Association, regular member of the Professional Bowhunters Society, and senior member of the Pope and Young Club. I am a past President of the West Virginia Bowhunters Association, the Professional Bowhunters Society, the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of West Virginia, and Director of the International Bowhunter Education Program. I am a member of the National Rifle Association, National Wild Turkey Federation, and was elected to the West Virginia Bowhunters Hall of Fame in 1995. I am active in my community and am currently in my second term as President of the Kiwanis Club of Wheeling and serve as Trustee in my church.

I have supported the U.S. Sportsman’s Alliance since my affiliation with the West Virginia Bowhunters Association in the early ‘80s and am well aware of their continued efforts in support and defense of hunting and fishing issues. Without their continued involvement it is a fact that we as hunters and fishermen would have far more restrictions and problems while not having the abundant hunting opportunities that we all enjoy. Personally I feel that all clubs need to be members of the U.S. Sportsmen Alliance regardless of the additional benefits offered including the Insurance Program. It is simply a means to help assure that hunting and fishing remain vital options for future generations.
